The facility at 22 Qualtrough Street is a unique, purpose built community facility that opened in 1976. It has been described as a significant building that needs refurbishing. The purpose of the application is to apply for a grant to assist us to refurbish the hall, i e. upgrade lights from non - LED to LED. In turn this assists us to continue to support the wider community now and well into the future to assist us build a stronger and more resilient community. Without a successful application for the grant, this refurbishment will not take place as neither the owners of the building, Gabba Senior Citizens & Community Centre, nor Metro Community Hub as Managers are in a financial position to afford this project.
