As the local MP, Terri is nominating local volunteer-led organisations to share in more than $130,000 in community grants.

Terri has received more than forty Expressions of Interest for these grants. So she is asking for community feedback to help her decide which projects to nominate.

Carina Leagues Triathlon Club - Fuel vouchers, training and a club TV

Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting Triathlon throughout the electorate.

Carina Boxing Club - First aid training and a club laptop

We will cover the cost of the Queensland Boxing accredited coaches level 1 for 5 new volunteers to engage with the club and provide fist aid training to 7 volunteers.

Carina Bowls Club - Landscaping and maintenance equipment

We will purchase landscaping and maintenance equipment to help make our volunteers roles easier and less time consuming.

Bulimba Hockey Club - Club canteen for volunteer and community use

We are endeavouring to build a high standard multi-sport facility and provide a hub for the local community.

Belmont Saints Basketball Club - Training for volunteers and coaches

Belmont Saints Basketball Club, which operates out of the Rowland Cowan Stadium in Carina, will cover the cost of training and accreditation programs for new volunteer coaches as well as providing qualification up-skilling for existing coaches to provide a better quality of program to youth in the region and provide fuel vouchers to offset the costs incurred in volunteering with the club.

Beelarong Community Farm - Safety upgrades to the site

Beelarong Community Farm comprises 100% volunteers.

Balmoral Little Athletics - New shelving, storage, equipment trolley, defibrillator and freezer

This grant would benefit our club by allowing us to purchase several items to provide a safer and easier volunteering experience.

Arts Access Australia - Funding for a national forum

Meeting Place (MP) is the signature annual event presented by Arts Access Australia (AAA), the disability-led national peak body for arts and disability.

Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery - Cleaning equipment for community cleaning programme

'Guardian Angels' is a monthly community cleaning programme in South Brisbane Cemetery.

Thomson Estates Eastern Suburbs Athletics Club - New club iPad

The Thomson Estates Eastern Suburbs Athletics Club will purchase a new club iPad which will be able to be used by our volunteers to undertake club activities without needing to use their own devices.
